Léandre Dupuis, 55, of Memramcook East died Monday at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Memramcook East, he was a son of Jimmy and Yvonne (Landry) Dupuis.
He was a carpenter and contractor by trade. He was a member of the Orthopedic Association.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Laura LeBlanc; one daughter, Mrs. Jeffrey Arial (Jeannette); one son, Aurèle, both of Edmonton, Alta; four sisters, Mrs. Dorine LeBlanc, Mrs. Emile Cormier (Violet), both of Memramcook East; Mrs. Ernest Landry (Marguerite), Chelsea, Mass.: Mrs. Inez LeBlanc, Dieppe; three brothers, Dollard, Memramcook West; Gérard and Léo Paul, both of Memramcook East. Two brothers, Yvon and Alyre, died previously.
The body will be at Dupuis Funeral and a Funeral mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Thursday from Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church. Memramcook East. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
